Emmetten

The village of Emmetten is quietly situated between Beckenried and Seelisberg. You can relax in the Brennwald forest, among other places. Various hiking and biking routes lead through the dense forest, and there is also a barbecue area where you can take a short break. For bike enthusiasts, the Bikearena Emmetten offers attractive programmes such as technical courses and guided tours. Experience pure adrenalin in the Natural Bike Park at the Hotel Seeblick - a unique adventure playground for mountain bikers, embedded in the breathtaking Swiss mountain landscape.

If you want to go a little higher, you can take a trip up the Niederbauen. From Emmetten, the small cable car takes you directly to the Niederbauen mountain inn, where a variety of delicacies are served. The wonderful view over Lake Lucerne attracts many paragliders and is considered one of the most beautiful places to fly. Niederbauen is the starting point of the wildlife observation trail, which leads to the Stockhütte or Klewenalp. Along the way, you will learn exciting facts about the wild animals that live in the area and, with a bit of luck, will be able to observe them right away.

Another highlight is the Stockhütte, which can be reached by cable car from Emmetten. Take a speedy descent from the Stockhütte to Emmetten on a bikeboard. You can hire these at the mountain station. The Stockhütte mountain restaurant and a large children's playground are also located right next to the mountain station. There is an adventurous atmosphere at the archery park in the nearby forest near the mountain station.

In winter, the Stockhütte is transformed into a snow sports area that is linked to Klewenalp. Visitors can enjoy pistes of various levels of difficulty, winter hiking, Nordic walking, sledging or simply savouring the snow-covered landscape and fresh air.
