The Nidwalden Tourism Association (NWT) was founded in December 2012 and is the official point of contact for tourism service providers in the canton of Nidwalden. The new Tourism Promotion Act has been in force in Nidwalden since 1 January 2017. Since then, the Nidwalden Tourism Association has been responsible for cantonal and overarching tourism promotion via a service agreement with the canton of Nidwalden. Nidwalden Tourism liaises closely with the Department of Economic Affairs. The service agreement can be viewed on the website of the Canton of Nidwalden nw.ch.
