Guided tour of the wildlife observation trail

Early in the morning, take the Niederbauen cable car  high above the Choltal gorge to the Niederbauen mountain station. Up here, at 1,575 metres above sea level, you are greeted by the most beautiful view in Central Switzerland with a breathtaking panorama. Lake Lucerne shines before you in all its colours and the surrounding mountains seem close enough to touch.

Under expert guidance and with a little luck, you can observe ibex, black grouse and other wild animals such as the golden eagle in the Niederbauen area. Equipped with binoculars and a rucksack, you follow the old gamekeeper or tour guide. He will show you the places where the animals like to be. With a good eye, a little concentration and a little luck, the animals will appear unexpectedly, time seems to stand still and you can savour this magical moment to the full. A priceless experience in a floral landscape at its finest.

The unique wildlife observation trail in Switzerland leads from Niederbauen via the Stockhütte and Heitliberg to Klewenalp, with a slightly shorter route to the Stockhütte.
