then and now

In the 19th century, folk musicians used their instruments to create passionate dance parties that often lasted all night. Good dance musicians played an important role in the regional marriage market. Medialization in the 20th century changed many things - but how did folk music react to this? What significance does it have today?

Lecture: Alois Gabriel
Music: Edy Wallimann (clarinet), Siro Odermatt (accordion, Schwyzerörgeli), Peter Berchtold (accordion, Schwyzerörgeli, bass trumpet), Chaschbi Gander jun. (piano), Daniela Gabriel (violin), Alois Gabriel (double bass).

The event takes place in the Sust in the Grafenort manor house, admission is free (collection). The café-bar in the Sust opens at 6.45 pm. Please note: The number of seats is limited - the principle “first come, first served” applies.
