The Huismatt lies at 1240 metres above sea level, surrounded by lush alpine meadows and colourful flowering pastures, nestled between the Stanserhorn, Arvigrat and Gummen. The farm is run by Simon Zumbühl, now in the 5th generation. His parents, Barbara and Norbert Zumbühl, handed over the business to Simon in 2017 and continue to work on the farm. Every year, two agricultural apprentices are also trained and actively help out on the Huismatt.
Highlights
In addition to succulent alpine grass, rich milk and flavoursome cheese, the farm also boasts a cosy restaurant - the Huismatt Gadä. Furnished with great charm, groups can indulge in the farm's own specialities, such as fondue, table grill, raclette or fried cheese. The Huismatt also offers aperitifs and guided tours of the farm on request.
