High above Engelberg, after the gondola ride from the valley station up to Trübsee, the magnificent view towards Titlis and a leisurely hike awaits. 

The trail around Lake Trübsee is a nice walk for families with strollers or if you like it flat and leisurely. Remember to pack some cervelat or bratwurst in your backpack. Four fireplaces invite you to enjoy a barbecue.

Directions

The Titlis Xpress takes you from Engelberg up to the mountain hotel Trübsee, where the easy hike starts. The path leads past the zipline and downhill to the Trübsee. Afterwards the whole path leads once around the lake, which is filled with emerald green glacier water.

Directions & Parking facilities

By car, take the A2 (Basel-Gotthard) to Stans Süd, then take the main road 20 km to Engelberg. Engelberg is 30 minutes from Lucerne, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Basel, Zurich or Bern.

Parking spaces are available at the Titlis Bergbahnen for a fee. 


Current parking situation

National and international connections (from Zurich airport connections every half hour with approx. 1h travel time) to Lucerne. Then with the Zentralbahn in 43 minutes through varied landscape and gorges up to Engelberg.
