Because despite protective clothing, an experienced guide is indispensable. They know what to look out for in winter, know the wind and weather conditions and can provide important assistance.

The winter programme at Kanuwelt is somewhat smaller than in summer, but no less attractive. For cheese lovers, there is the fondue fun, a canoe trip followed by a fondue. A special romantic tour is offered for couples. Those who want to keep fit for the coming summer season can book a private course or take part in an Eskimo course in the indoor pool.

In winter 24/25, Eskimo roll courses and training sessions will again be held in the indoor pool.
Using the kayak roll to get back to the surface in the event of a capsize gives the paddler much more safety. However, this roll is not easy to learn. We at Kanuwelt teach the technique in the indoor pool and break down the movement into its individual parts. If you have no experience, we recommend the introductory course. Those who already have experience, for example after our introductory course, can take part in the training sessions and refresh and improve their Eskimo skills.
