Places of interest
In the centre of Stans, the historic parish church invites you to explore;
The parish church in Stans was built between 1641 and 1647 in the early Baroque style. In contrast to its five predecessor churches, it was orientated towards the south for reasons of space. The Romanesque bell tower was built around 1200 and there is a chapel dedicated to the Mother of God under the north-east aisle. The choir organ dating from 1646 is the second oldest playable organ in Switzerland.
