Lake Trüb is a popular hiking destination in summer (4-Lakes Trail from Engelberg to Melchsee-Frutt) and part of the ski area in winter.

The Engelberg - Lake Trüb - Jochpass route is part of the old Sbrinz mule path between Lucerne and Domodossola.
