The Kälti funicular railway to the Stanserhorn was opened in 1893 and is one of the oldest funicular railways in Switzerland. It connects the valley station in Kälti with the summit of the Stanserhorn and offers breathtaking views of the Alps and Lake Lucerne. The funicular has undergone various modernisations over the years in order to meet today's safety and comfort standards. It remains an important historical means of transport and a popular excursion destination for tourists and locals alike.
After a 10-minute journey, you reach the Kälti middle station. From there, you have the option of changing to the CabriO cable car and travelling up to the Stanserhorn.
There is a stop on request at the Bluematt station.
