Stylish ambience, baroque joie de vivre and modern facilities: that's the manor house of Engelberg's Benedictine monastery. Perfect for seminars, meetings and parties.
The late 17th century master builders erected a stately, well thought-out manor house in Grafenort. It served a number of purposes and continues to do so – hence its historical fascination. From the outset, the striking building served as a valley residence and place of rest and recuperation for the abbot and monks, as accommodation for distinguished travellers, as a place for political gatherings, and as a granary, hostelry and transhipment facility.
