The Ghirmi-Hittli is located on the Altzellerberg, directly on the Eggiligrat-Grafenort hiking trail, on Alp Schwand. The former cable car hut with garage no longer fulfils its purpose as a cable car, as the cable and the cable car were dismantled in 2021. The unused building is now the "Ghirmi-Hittli", a nice place for hikers and bikers to take a break and stop for refreshments. The Ghirmi-Hüttli has a table with a corner bench and seating/picnic facilities at the Schärmä or in the shade, as well as a large bench with a table on the southern wall of the hut with a view of the entire Engelberg Valley.
Coffee, tea and fresh water are available. In addition, the "Chuchigänterli" is filled with various delicacies from Hiäsigs. In hiking/cycling weather, something to "Schleinä" is also available - this can vary from homemade ice cream to freshly baked muffins or cakes.
On request, small groups such as evening bikers, hiking groups and clubs can be welcomed and pampered in the Ghirmi hut. This can also be combined with a tour of the "Hiäsigs" summer farm.
The genuine flavour of the local products is reflected in the handmade food and made accessible to all. Therefore - "vo Outzällä uisä i d'Wäut."
