Treasures from the new edition of “Die Kunstdenkmäler des Kantons Nidwalden” in the lakeside communities
Robert Durrer's pioneering work “Die Kunstdenkmäler des Kantons Unterwalden” (1893-1927) receives a modern sequel almost 100 years later. Since 2021, the artistic monuments in the lakeside municipalities of Nidwalden have been newly inventoried. The first volume covers Buochs, Beckenried, Ennetbürgen, Emmetten, Stansstad and Hergiswil. Dr. Elke Seibert Michel, art historian and author of “Die Kunstdenkmäler des Kantons Nidwalden”, will present the most exciting discoveries to visitors.
The event takes place in the Sust in the Grafenort manor house, admission is free (collection). The café-bar in the Sust opens at 6.45 pm. Please note: The number of places is limited - the principle of “first come, first served” applies.
