From 15 to 17 November 2024, guests of all ages will experience pure Christmas magic. Far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and a little closer to heaven at 2132 metres. That's you when you visit our Christkindlimärt with over 40 richly decorated market stalls. The magnificent view over the lakes and the Alps, the delicious delicacies - simply a delight. • Entry of Father Christmas from Beckenried with a large entourage, Yffelen, Chlöpfer and Trychler

• Live ice carving with Atelier Odermatt from Büren
• Dance production by the Lucerne Theatre
• Official illumination of the Lucerne Christmas lights with the Lucerne Christmas Lights Association
• Raffle organised by the Lucerne City Association
• Wheel of fortune from Lucerne Tour

The traditional Hergiswil Village Advent delights hundreds of visitors every year with its unique atmosphere. On the first weekend of Advent on 30 November and 1 December, over 100 exhibitors once again present their new products, their wide range of gift ideas, consumer goods and much more in the lovingly decorated ‘Hüsli’ and stalls. Food and drink are also catered for: a large selection of different food and drink stands fulfil every culinary wish.

A visit is definitely worthwhile, as there is plenty to discover around the village centre of Hergiswil. The village Advent also offers a variety of performances and musical entertainment. The unique Father Christmas procession is one of the many highlights. We guarantee you an unforgettable and eventful stay in the beautiful village of Nidwalden.

Visit the traditional Stans Christmas market at the Höfli/Steinmättli site.
A good 130 decorated stalls with handcrafted gifts and unique home-made items await visitors. There are traditional items, but also, as every year, something new. The living nativity scene, the barrel-rolling musicians and, of course, the various food stalls and pony and donkey rides have become indispensable. The event is organised by the Unterwalden Mule and Train Association and labelled by Stans Tourism.

From 9 to 19 January 2025, Lucerne will once again become a luminous meeting place. At the 6th Lilu Light Festival Lucerne, artists from all over the world will present the diverse and fascinating facets of light art. Discover creative light installations on an illuminated winter walk and experience an attractive supporting programme with a light show for all the senses. The alleyways, sights and squares of the city of Lucerne will be creatively illuminated by us.
